How Work Flows Through HSI

The HSI workflow from source to publication, with provenance and traceability preserved at every step.

Work moves through a consistent path. Every step keeps a record back to the original source.

1. Source

A person adds a public source and reviews it before it is activated.

2. Signal

Observations from the source become signals, each reviewable on its own.

3. Evidence

Evidence is attached to claims and linked to the exact passage it came from.

4. Narrative

Related signals and evidence cluster into narratives over the evidence graph.

5. Forecast

Where appropriate, a forecast is recorded with a resolution date for later evaluation.

6. Review

A reviewer validates the evidence and provenance before anything is published.

7. Publication

The reviewed finding is published with its citations. Corrections and retractions are tracked openly.

Provenance and traceability

At each step the record links back to its origin, so any published conclusion can be traced to the source passages behind it.
